surprise surprise, a blog post! for a special occasion too
today is april 27th, or 4/27. 427! that is the number of a certain man named stanley, from a game known as the stanley parable. why is this special? no reason. i just felt like having an interesting introduction into this blog post. the stanley parable is on my mind though, because of a steam achievement i'm trying to achieve therein.
that would be the "go outside" achievement, where you have to avoid playing the game for 5 years. about
a year ago, i accidentally clicked the update button for the game on steam, and it reset my progress for the
achievement T_T
thus, i won't play the (source version) of the game for another few years or so.

(hey, did you like those topic-changing dots? i see that some books use them, so y not use them in my blog posts?)
i've been working on my homepage redesign lately. my last blog post was a lie, the blog is STILL invisible
to the world, and the homepage STILL has the same design its had since like february. i want to get it out today,
but i have other things to do as well...
i wish i could join a webring, or perhaps participate more in forums. i feel like the whole web revival thing is
a better way to interact with the internet, so it sucks when i keep getting drawn in to social medias like
reddit and youtube. i wish i could stop relying so much on those 2, but i can't!
reddit has r/anglish, which is where the majority of anglishers tend to post. if i leave reddit, i essentially leave the anglish community. reddit also is where most cool internet discussions take place in general, which makes it so hard for me to let it go, cuz that would mean leaving behind cool discussions about conlanging (r/conlangs), webmastery (r/neocities), and minecrafting (r/GoldenAgeMinecraft). i've taken steps to limit my interaction with reddit, such as by removing r/all from my feed, and only visiting subreddits like the above.
youtube is impossible to get rid of. i listen to music on youtube, watch interesting channels on youtube, learn interesting shit on there,
everything. i'm even listening to a cool youtuber while i write this blog post!
i sort of wish i could just avoid some aspects of youtube, like the "shorts" feature, and the algorithm recommending brainrot content.
i know there's bitview, but i don't use it
the best i can hope for a break from youtube is probably to post machinima stuff i make to my website, or to newgrounds.
i guess i don't mind posting to youtube, but i'd rather not become addicted to posting there.
